Biological Information and Cognitive Informatics

This paper briefly reviews the intersections and connections between these two emerging fields of bioinformatics and cognitive informatics through a systems view of emerging pattern, dissipative structure, and evolving cognition of living systems. It is hoped that this brief review encourages further exploration of our understanding of the biological knowledge of cognition, perception, learning, memory, thought, and mind.
